This reclaimed fir porch swing says a lot about how Oro Woodshop works. A client had old-growth fir sitting in their attic, collecting dust. We pulled it down, milled it, and turned it into a porch swing for the front porch right below it.

Angled lap joints, dados, and dowels. No screws or nails except on the seat slats. To hang it, we had to open up the porch ceiling and add structural support.

It was the client's dream to have a front porch swing, and there is something special about building one from materials that came out of your own home.
