Fressen Artisan Bakery

Fressen Artisan Bakery is a longtime client and an ongoing collaboration. The projects include an 11-foot community bookshelf, a 13-foot bar top, a bussing station, portable farmers-market display cases, cedar baked-goods trays, and custom cabinetry. Each has its own set of parameters, which shows the range of what Oro can build and is a reminder that beautiful pieces can shape a space.

The bar top came first: 13 feet of reclaimed fir, the largest single piece Oro had built at the time. Since then, Edgar (the owner) has shared his vision for the German bakery he loves, and the work has grown to make the space more cohesive for both staff and customers.

The community bookshelf followed. Edgar and the Fressen team wanted something that felt like part of the restaurant, not an afterthought. The design is inspired by timeless trinket boxes, scaled up, with adjustable shelving in each section to hold the varied items that land on a community shelf.

It has been a wonderful collaboration, and Oro is always glad to keep building with small business owners and commercial clients.
